For M100 Series Motor Actuators
Application
The R81QAA plug-in electronic
board kit can be used in the
M100X base model motor
actuator, and as a replacement
or conversion kit in existing M100
Series motor actuators. The kit
permits the use of A91 and T91
thermistor sensors with the M100
Series motor actuators in
heating, ventilating, air
conditioning, and industrial
applications.
The R81QAA has an adjustable
set point range of 40 to 90°F
(5 to 30°C), with an adjustable
proportional band of 2 to 30F°
(1.1 to 16.7C°) minimum.
The kit consists of mounting
screws, an identification label, a
vertical plug-in board, and a
terminal board with: travel
adjustment potentiometer, set
point adjustment, proportional
band adjustment, labeled wiring
terminals.
A jumper is factory installed
between terminals X and XD for
direct output. For reverse output,
remove the jumper from the XD
terminal and connect the jumper
to the XR terminal.
When the R81QAA is installed in
an M100 Series motor actuator,
the voltage between terminal T
and terminal X (jumpered from
XD or XR) is approximately
6 VDC at zero rotation of the
output shaft. Full rotation of the
output shaft occurs when the
voltage between T1 and X is
approximately 10 VDC.
With the R81 electronics
installed, M100 Series motor
actuators will position dampers,
valves, and related equipment in
heating, ventilating, air
conditioning, and industrial
applications.

kits are designed for use only as
operating controls. Where an
operating control failure would
result in personal injury and/or
loss of property, it is the
responsibility of the installer to
add devices (safety, limit
controls) that protect against, or
systems (alarm, supervisory
systems) that warn of control
failure.
